This is more of a personal blog post... So as you know, we just moved to Prattville, AL. Well, my biggest worry or concern was my oldest son. He just started his first year of high school here at Prattville High School. I was hoping he would fit in, find a group of friends, not feel like an outsider, etc., etc,. All the things any mom would feel when there child is starting a new school. Well, when he came one day, after being in school for less than 2 months and told me he wanted to go to homecoming with a group of friends he had met and not to mention a girl that he liked :). I was beyond excited for him!! He gave me the details of the day and told me when and where all the parents were getting together to photograph them prior to the dance. Ewwww....that was a hard one for me- they were wanting to meet on top of a hill at 430pm - with NO SHADE- (or so I thought)!!! Eeeekkk!!! I made a few suggestions- like downtown Prattville or other areas I knew I could pull off my style. Well, that was a no go. So, I went along with everything trying not to be the controlling mom. :) Oh man, I was so nervous-- My son's first homecoming. I really, really wanted to do a good job on these pictures!!! The group of kids that I met that day and the parents were so kind and so welcoming!! I am just so happy I was able to be a part of this and that my son actually wanted me there- (not at the dance- of course!! lol- just for pictures)! So here are just a few of the pics from that day.

Candace Turner - It was wonderful to meet you! I'm so glad that Carter has become a part of this sweet group. I know I'm a little biased, but these are some of the most wonderful kids you'll ever meet. Carter obviously fits right in! I, like you, was worried about the location and the time of day they wanted to take pictures. Fortunately for us, we had a professional on hand! I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful pictures. You are very talented! I hope to convince my children to let me schedule a photo shoot with you before too long. We are so happy you moved to Prattville! I hope to see you and Carter again soon. :)

Christine - How fun that he wanted you there and that you grabbed these amazing portraits! I can't believe how quick the kids change. Before you know it they will be seniors. Yikes!
