I'm really making an effort to do yearly family pictures that include myself and my husband! I normally take professional pictures every year at some point of the kids, but rarely are we in the pictures. As I have come to be a print photographer and have really learned to appreciate the value of the printed image in this overwhelmingly digital world- I am very well aware of how I need to to change this! Our children and possibly grandchildren are going to want to see pictures with us included as they get older. 

This year I decided to do our family pictures at one of my favorite local places to shoot- Cooters Pond & Park in Prattville. When I learned that my mother-in-law would be visiting I was even more excited about the pictures! So with tripod in hand and with use of the camera timer we were able to capture some pretty nice family shots!

It is a lot of work to do this for myself and my family- but, it is so worth it in the end! As a received these printed images and looked over them my heart was filled with love and gratitude! I'm thankful that I did this this year and will continue to do this yearly!! I am so grateful that I am able to share in this experience with other families!
